In those instances, some of the electricity suppliers in Turkey have either asked for a price renegotiation, filed for bankruptcy, or terminated an agreement under force majeure leaving many customers exposed to an unprecedented price increase.
Therefore, it’s very important to have a robust process in place for screening the electricity supplier market and choosing the right one.
There are several important steps to achieve this.
- Understand supplier market landscape. You will need to know what suppliers exist in the market today.
- The best way to identify a number of licensed participants is to visit this website.
- After we have preselected our vendors. We have to contact them in order to confirm their interest in our business as well as their commercial and operational supply capabilities. During this step, you would need to describe your project scope and your company’s requirements. It has to be very clear so suppliers can understand what you are looking for.
- After you have identified your potential suppliers, you may want to assess the competitiveness of their offers. This is when you need to launch a formal RFQ process and discuss the supply terms.
